GOEZ frequently asked questions

GOEZ is a motorcycle ride tracking, sharing and community app for iPhone and Android. It records your rides with GPS and shows distance, moving time, speed, corner count and an estimated lean angle. Routes, groups, events, Ride Buddy and SOS are built in too.

English, Turkish, German, Italian and French. Change the language in the app under Settings › Language.

With your email address: there's no password, and a one-time sign-in code is sent to your inbox. We don't ask for your phone number.

Add your bike to your garage, tap Start ride and put your phone away. Your summary is ready the moment you finish. How ride tracking works

Yes. Allow location access "Always" and recording keeps running in the background with the screen off. With "While using the app", recording stops when the screen locks, and GOEZ tells you before the ride.

Yes. GPS doesn't need mobile data; every point is saved on your phone first and syncs on its own when you're back online.

Your points so far stay on your phone. Next time you open GOEZ, you can continue the ride, save just its summary or delete it.

No. Average speed is based on moving time; stops shorter than three minutes come off your moving time, and longer ones are listed as breaks.

Yes, it's optional and off by default. Turn it on in Settings and recording goes on a break after you've stopped for two minutes, then picks up again when you ride off.

Not yet. GPX import is planned.

Lean angle is an estimate calculated from GPS speed and how fast your heading changes; it doesn't use your phone's tilt or a sensor on the bike. Moments below 4 m/s are ignored, and values above 55° are filtered out as noise. Learn more

It's a good way to compare your own rides, not a measuring instrument. Accuracy drops where GPS is weak, such as deep valleys, tunnel exits and dense trees.

A corner counts when your heading changes by at least 8° per second in the same direction for at least 1.5 seconds. Gentle bends and lane changes don't count.

Yes, lean angle is a GOEZ PRO feature. Corner count is free and shows in every ride summary.

In the Routes screen in the app; each route shows its length, corner count and difficulty, and you can save the ones you like. You can also read about twisty motorcycle routes in Turkey on this site.

Yes. Pick a destination on the map and tap Save route; it stays in your saved routes. How routes work

No. A route you planned shows on your ride screen, but there's no voice guidance or automatic re-routing. For full navigation, get directions in your phone's map app.

Yes. Planning, saving and riding a route works anywhere the map covers. Suggested routes start in Turkey.

Tap Create group, add a name, cover, category, region and rules, and choose Public or Approved members. You can create one group on the free plan and unlimited groups with GOEZ PRO. Community features

You can answer "Going" to three events in total; withdraw an answer and you get that spot back. "Maybe" and "Can't go" don't count, and GOEZ PRO removes the limit.

No. Group members don't see each other on a live map; you share your live location with one Ride Buddy.

Yes. Under "Who can message you" in Settings, choose everyone, only people you follow, or no one.

Pick a photo and a template; GOEZ lays out your route and stats on a 1080 × 2341 px vertical image. Send it to Instagram, WhatsApp or your phone's share sheet. How sharing works

The Classic template is free. GOEZ PRO unlocks all six: Classic, Elevation, Stack, Telemetry, Poster and Route Card.

Backgrounds in GOEZ are photos. For a video, export the transparent sticker and place it over your video in Instagram Stories.

No. GOEZ doesn't detect crashes and never sends messages for you; you start SOS, and you tap Send.

Hold the SOS button and wait for the five-second countdown; your messaging app opens with your emergency contacts and location link ready. You tap Send. Live location and SOS

Ride Buddy is one person you trust who follows your ride live. They watch from a private link in their browser, no app needed; your location is shared only while you're recording, and you can stop anytime.

No. Ride Buddy, SOS and emergency contacts are free on every plan, and safety features never move to PRO.

Yes. Unlimited ride recording, core stats, the community and every safety feature are free. The free plan includes 1 bike, 1 group you create, 3 events you join and 1 story template.

In the App Store or Google Play subscription settings; in GOEZ, Settings › Manage subscription takes you there. PRO stays on until the end of the period you paid for.

The App Store or Google Play takes the payment, so refunds follow the store's own policy; you request one from Apple or Google.

You choose for every ride: everyone, your followers, or only you. Make your account private and you approve new followers yourself.

No. Your location is collected only while a ride is recording; it isn't tracked when recording is off.

No. GOEZ has no ads; we don't sell your data or use it for advertising. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

In the app, go to Settings › Delete account; you can also delete single rides. Your account is deactivated right away and permanently deleted after 30 days. Delete your account

Ride recording needs location access; choose "Always" to record with the screen off. Notifications are optional. You pick your Ride Buddy and emergency contacts with the system contact picker, and their names and numbers stay on your phone.

GPS recording uses battery in any app. Before you start a ride, GOEZ shows your battery level and roughly how many hours of recording it allows; on a long trip, keep your phone charging.

Yes. In Settings › Units, choose kilometers and Celsius or miles and Fahrenheit.
